Thousands of people this Saturday fired the Carnival of Gáldar with the traditional Burial of the Sardina, an act that put the final brooch to an edition marked by the commemoration of the 50 years of the recovery of the carnival after Francoism. The burning, celebrated in the Plaza de Santiago, closed some meats that the City Council qualifies as historical due to its magnitude, participation and, in particular, diversity.
