Gábor Pósfai would tighten the rules of restraint and give more power to the police
According to Interior Minister Gábor Pósfai, urgent legislative steps are needed to reduce domestic violence and improve road safety.
The government is taking action after 456 deaths: harsher penalties may come on Hungarian roads, and the punishment for domestic violence will also be tightened.
But not only do they want to pay attention to stricter enforcement of restraints related to relational violence, but also in relation to acts that blatantly threaten the traffic order, Interior Minister Gábor Pósfai said in his video.
Faster intervention, longer distancing may be possible. Gábor Pósfai will soon begin consultations with the ministries concerned.
The Ministry of the Interior recommends, among other things, strengthening the social distancing system.
