For the first time since his release last May, after 20 months of detention in the wake of the August 2023 coup in Gabon, Noureddin Bongo Valentin, son of former President Ali Bongo, gives a long interview in several parts to the British conservative weekly The Standard. He denounces the torture suffered during his 610 days of detention, assures that he never had any political ambition and says that he did not always feel at home in Gabon.
