Futures Pointing To Roughly Flat Open On Wall Street
After moving mostly higher over the two previous sessions, stocks may show a lack of direction in early trading on Monday. The major index futures are currently pointing to a roughly flat open for the markets, with the S&P 500 futures down by less than a tenth of a percent.
Wall Street starts the new week with mixed signs and "confused", as pressure from the bond market remains at high levels.
Stock market indices are hovering near record highs, but a large number of stocks on the surface are in a correction.
Investors are still following government bonds.
Wall Street is expected to open slightly lower at the start of the week. The focus remains on US interest rates, which rose despite a weaker jobs report on Friday. On Wednesday, the Fed's minutes from its September interest rate meeting will be released.
