Fundraiser created for student with leukemia
A fundraiser has been created to help the family of Enrique Lira, a sixth-grader at Eisenhower Elementary School who was diagnosed with leukemia over the summer. Several Mexican restaurants in Great Bend have teamed up and will have food at the Best Western Courtyard, 2920 10th St., at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15. The cost is $20 for a meal. T-shirts will also be available and donations will be accepted. All of the proceeds will go to the family.
