A 38-year-old fugitive was caught after hiding as a statue in Galatone's nativity scene to avoid a nine-month prison sentence, authorities said.

- Attempting to disguise himself, he posed as a statue and reportedly used the fourth of the three wise men tactic by raising his arms and holding still, then resisted arrest and claimed the Nativity was his home, reports from local outlets describe.
