Fuels registered new charges during Tuesday, a standard litre of petrol approaching the psychological threshold of 10 lei. The standard engine is located around 10.5 lei, while the Ministry of Finance announced that the reduction of diesel acccess, by 25%, will be maintained until the end of September.
The Ministry of Finance shall maintain at 25% the temporary reduction of the excise duty applicable to the standard engine for the period 16-30 September 2026, following the new bi-annual assessment provided for by the mechanism established by Law 162/2026, according to a communication from the institution.
