Ezgi Parlak, who was traveling to the Albanian resort town of Ksamil, was arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a Portuguese tourist. The suspected murderer, British citizen Sokrat Vata, was reportedly found hiding in the trunk of Parlak's vehicle. Parlak, however, maintained that she had no knowledge of the suspect.
Sokrat Vata, the suspect in the stabbing death of Portuguese citizen Luis Miguel Varela Mendes in Albania, was apprehended hiding in the trunk of a car. Turkish citizens Ezgi Parlak and Nuh Mahmutoğlu, who were also in the vehicle, were arrested as part of the investigation.
