In the Bijnor police station area of Lucknow, a young man murdered his own friend for the sake of ₹2,250. The accused, Birju, first gave Sachin, also known as Raja, alcohol and, after he became unconscious, electrocuted him with an exposed electrical wire and an iron cooler. After the murder, he attempted to pass off the body as an accident by throwing it outside a neighbor's house.
The accused fled by leaving the body in front of another house in the neighborhood to evade the police.
