ISTANBUL: Officials from the Global Sumud Flotilla said four boats belonging to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition are currently sailing through Greek territorial waters after departing from the Italian port of Syracuse last Saturday (May 2) to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported.

Four vessels are sailing through Greek territorial waters while more than 30 vessels wait off Crete, with additional ships in Türkiye preparing to join the Gaza-bound convoy.
In a joint statement, 13 countries condemned the Israeli attack on the Freedom Flotilla vessels. They also described the April 30 attack on the flotilla and the kidnapping of the activists, who were sailing in international waters off the coast of Greece, as a “flagrant violation” of international law and international maritime conventions.
