Frasers Group Buys Swindon Designer Outlet Shopping Centre
Frasers Group plans to leverage Swindon Designer Outlet's 3 million annual visitors to support major brands and expand its retail footprint across the UK.
- On Tuesday, December 9, Frasers Group announced it bought Swindon Designer Outlet, expanding its UK retail portfolio.
- Earlier this year reports said Frasers Group was in talks to buy the Kemble Drive outlet for about £275 million, which LaSalle Investment Management has owned since 2022 and McArthurGlen Group managed.
- Swindon Designer Outlet houses brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Reiss and Nike, and includes restaurants and a children's play area.
- Michael Murray, Frasers Group CEO, said the acquisition `reinforces our property strategy` and unlocks new opportunities for its brands and partners.
- The deal widens Frasers' UK footprint by adding Swindon Designer Outlet on the Grade II-listed former Great Western Railway Works, building on recent purchases including Princesshay, Fremlin Walk and The Olympus Centre.
