Fraser river canoe journey to reach Agassiz and Mission

The leg will spotlight Indigenous-led conservation and stewardship as organizers seek support for a declaration protecting 30% of the Fraser Rivershed by 2030.

A 1,375-kilometre journey along the Fraser river will enter its final stretch towards the Salish Sea at the end of the month. The Fraser River Challenge is an event which sees members of Fraser Riverkeeper, an organization dedicated to preserving the rivershed, travel from the river’s headwaters to the sea.
