Franklin County Board of Supervisors approves new fire engine, rescue apparatus for Westlake station; supervisor Meredith announces resignation

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved funding for the purchase of a new fire engine for Westlake Station #15 in the Westlake-Hales Ford Designated Growth Area, and a rescue apparatus for roadside emergencies along U.S. 220.

Franklin official resigns abruptly 2 days after disclosing data center's demise

Supervisor Mike Meredith said he had "broken trust" and didn't want to hinder Franklin County's development. Then he left the meeting.
