Forza Horizon 6 Has Been Delayed on PS5, a New Report Suggests, Not Long After Developer Playground Insisted It Hadn't
Dealabs says the PS5 version will include a physical release and cost €69.99 in Europe, after Playground Games denied a delay.
Dealabs reported that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027, contradicting earlier developer assurances that the port would arrive in 2026.
Tom Warren and IGN initially speculated in August that the game would miss a 2026 release; Playground Games later countered by insisting the PlayStation port remained on schedule.
Dealabs also noted the title will feature a physical release at retail and match Xbox pricing in Europe, though Premium Edition availability on PS5 remains unverified.
Yesterday, Playground Games posted a statement apologizing for communication lapses regarding Forza Horizon, promising to address player feedback about post-launch content updates.
Despite the port delay, Forza Horizon 6 remains a top-selling title on Steam this year, with Eurogamer noting it reached the "zenith of the Horizon off-shoot spirit.
