Former West Orange-Stark Football Coach Dan Hooks dies at 87

Former West Orange-Stark Football Head Coach Dan Hooks died Tuesday, Dec.6, at the age of 87. Hooks led the Mustangs to 12 District Championships and a back-to-back 4A State Champions in 1986 and 1987. Hooks played college football at both Del Mar Junior College and Sam Houston State University and began coaching high school football in 1961 in Channelview, where he would stay for nearly 10 years.  In 1981, he became Head Football Coach at West …
