Former state trooper and city board member Robert Stedman dies

Robert “Bob” Stedman, a retired New York State Trooper who spent 20 years serving on Glens Falls’ Board of Public Safety, died March 17. Stedman stepped down from the board at the end of last year after two decades overseeing the activities of the city’s police and fire departments. During that time, city officials said he became a steady presence in public safety leadership and local government.
