OSU Buckeye TE Will Kacmarek Selected No. 87, Heads to Miami Dolphins
Will Kacmarek caught 11 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns last season at Ohio State.
On Friday, the Miami Dolphins selected Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the 87th overall pick.
Standing 6-foot-6 and 258 pounds, Kacmarek earned recognition as a physical blocker; Ohio State tight ends coach Keenan Bailey called him "the best blocking tight end in the country" last year.
A St. Louis native, Kacmarek played three years at Ohio University before finishing his collegiate career at Ohio State, where he recorded 15 receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns in 2025.
His selection marks the eighth player from Ohio State chosen within the first three rounds, continuing a banner draft year for the Buckeyes program.
While scouts suggest Kacmarek must improve his pad level and hand placement to sustain blocks, the rookie offers Miami immediate potential to enhance their run-game efficiency.
