Former Lions star running back Millington rushes into Canadian Football Hall of Fame
Millington rushed for 6,086 yards and 87 touchdowns over 13 CFL seasons and won two Grey Cups with B.C., Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto.
- Sean Millington was named Friday to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026, becoming the second of six inductees announced for the prestigious honor.
- Former Hamilton Tiger-Cats star Brandon Banks was announced as the first member earlier this month, with the Class of 2026 set for induction Sept. 17 in Hamilton.
- A North Vancouver native and Simon Fraser University product, Millington won Grey Cups in 1994 and 2000 and was named the CFL's most outstanding Canadian in 1997 and 2000.
- "I'm elated, overjoyed, overwhelmed, grateful, blessed and amazed," said Millington when the Lions surprised him with the news earlier this week at practice.
- The first overall pick in the 1990 CFL draft played for the Lions, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Toronto, recording 176 special-teams tackles and earning five West Division all-star selections.
