“Sander Levin, a former Democratic congressman from Michigan and a member of a prominent Jewish political dynasty, endorsed Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for Michigan’s open Senate seat,” the Washington Post reports.

In a statement, Levin said he was aligned with El-Sayed on climate change, trade, health care and other issues despite his “significant disagreement” with El-Sayed’s views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
