First Horizon Wealth Management Welcomes Eric Teal as Chief Investment Officer

On 02/02/2026 First Horizon Bank announced in Memphis that Eric Teal joined First Horizon Wealth Management as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer.
To lead investment strategy, First Horizon hired Teal, who brings prior senior wealth experience from U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and over 10 years as CIO at First Citizens Bank.
His professional roles include serving as Treasurer of the PBS North Carolina Foundation Board, and First Horizon Bank is headquartered in Memphis and operates in 12 states.
First Horizon executives said they are pleased to have Teal join the Wealth Management leadership team, signaling internal endorsement of the hire, which is expected to strengthen investment leadership.
