Chelsea Drawn at Home to Luton in Carabao Cup
New manager Xabi Alonso begins Chelsea's cup campaign as five-time winners seek their first Carabao Cup title since 2015.
On Monday, the Carabao Cup second round draw paired five-time winners Chelsea with League One side Luton Town for a home match at Stamford Bridge.
This round marks the entry of 11 Premier League teams not involved in European competition, with the EFL Cup draw split into northern and southern sections for pairings.
The northern section features the only all-Premier League tie, with four-time winners Nottingham Forest hosting Leeds United, while Tottenham Hotspur hosts Charlton and Fulham faces League One AFC Wimbledon.
Matches are scheduled for the week commencing August 24, likely on August 25 or 26, as Everton boss David Moyes returns to Preston North End where he previously managed.
New manager Xabi Alonso leads the club's bid to win the competition for the first time since 2015, while Burnley will face the Bantams for the first time in over 20 years.
