Sari - The governor of Mazandaran announced the amount of damage caused to rural areas of Sari County due to the recent floods and storms at around three and a half to four billion Tomans and announced that efforts are underway to secure resources.
Mahdi Yonsei Rostami, the governor of Mazandaran, with a field presence in the affected rural areas of Sari County, closely examined the process of providing relief to recent flood-hit people.
The head of the country's Crisis Management Organization said: Flood damage to Mazandaran is estimated at 4.5 million.
The director of the Sari Agricultural Jihad said: "The recent heavy rainfall and flooding in this city have caused damage of more than 378 billion and 645 million tomans to various agricultural sectors."
Regarding the flood damage estimate for Sari County, the governor of Mazandaran said: "It is estimated that there has been damage of three and a half to four billion tomans, and that compensation resources will be provided to the citizens as much as possible, considering the current conditions."
