The Japanese Coast Guard announced today, March 21, that five technical trainees from Vietnam fell into the sea while fishing near the coast of Fukui Prefecture, resulting in at least one death and three missing.
According to the Fukui Coast Guard, at around 2:45 a.m. on the 21st, the Fukui Prefectural Police received a report from a Vietnamese technical trainee who was fishing on the coast of Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, saying that "a friend fell into the sea." One person was rescued, and four others are still missing.
