Five arrested in raids targeting Black Country drug supply network
West Midlands Police dismantled a suspected Class A drug network, arresting five men and seizing cash, knives, and imitation firearms to combat organised crime.
West Midlands Police's County Lines Taskforce arrested five men during raids across Sandwell and Dudley targeting the 'Dappa Line,' a suspected Class A drug supply network operating in the Black Country.
The operation forms part of Operation Target, West Midlands Police's ongoing campaign to tackle serious and organised crime by disrupting illegal drug networks and related criminal activity across the region.
Officers recovered mobile phones, cash, knives, imitation firearms, and ammunition; searches continue at one address for suspected gunpowder with support from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team.
West Midlands Police stated the force is 'committed to disrupting the supply of drugs' in the region, while confirming there is no wider threat to the public from the operation.
Police forces including Lancashire Constabulary and the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch recently conducted similar proactive operations against organised drug supply networks, reflecting concentrated nationwide enforcement against serious crime.
