Fitch joins 2027 GOP field

The 2027 Republican primary for Mississippi governor added another candidate last week when Attorney General Lynn Fitch entered the race. She is the third person in the game. Andy Gipson, the state Secretary of Agriculture, has been touring the state for the past year. Former House Speaker Philip Gunn also is running.
