Megan Thee Stallion makes a historic gender-swapped Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! for an eight-week run, succeeding Bob the Drag Queen in the role of Zidler.
- On Tuesday, March 24, three-time Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion begins an eight-week engagement as Zidler at the Al Hirshfeld Theatre, running through Sunday, May 17.
- Producer Carmen Pavlovic said the casting is part of closing-season promotions and a farewell gift, with the show's 2021 reopening and July 26 announced as the closing date.
- Departing from tradition, the role was originally Harold Zidler, created by Tony-winner Danny Burstein, but the production now presents Zidler as female rather than male drag.
