Ceuta has confirmed its first recorded case of monkeypox in a 13-year-old unaccompanied Moroccan boy who entered illegally during July’s mass invasion. The infection adds to an already severe health crisis in the enclave, with 11 chickenpox cases, eight tuberculosis cases and more than 10,000 migrant consultations recorded in the first month as overcrowded centres face sustained pressure.
