Firefighters Limit Spread of 5 Freeway Brushfire North of Castaic

Firefighters with Los Angeles County and the Angeles National Forest jumped on a brushfire on the right shoulder of the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Castaic area Sunday and stopped the moderate spread at two acres. The fire was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at 3:10 p.m. Sunday on the southbound Golden State Freeway just south of Templin Highway.
