The Ministry of Defence has deployed two Chinook transport helicopters to combat the wildfire on the defence site near ‘t Harde in Gelderland. This was reported by the Defence Helicopter Command (DHC) on X.

The Ministry of Defence is once again deploying firefighting helicopters to the wildfire in ’t Harde on the Veluwe. Although there is no indication of the fire spreading, the fire department says the mopping-up operation is taking too long. "By deploying helicopters, we hope to shorten the mopping-up period."
