Meet the 296 GT Modificata: Ferrari's Latest Track Special
Ferrari says the model’s 730 cv V6 and revised aerodynamics deliver more consistent performance for track-day customers.
- Ferrari unveiled the 296 GT Modificata during Ferrari Racing Days in Budapest, Hungary, on September 13, 2026, creating a track-only two-seater derived from the GT3 Evo.
- At its heart, the Modificata features a rear-mid-mounted 2,992cc engine producing 730 cv, representing 130 cv more than the GT3 Evo because it remains unconstrained by Balance of Performance regulations.
- Ferrari reworked aerodynamics with a new Slotted Splitter and redesigned rear wing featuring a larger 5mm Gurney flap, alongside redesigned braking system cooling ducts for improved thermal management.
- Despite its racing focus, the Modificata includes two seats, professional seat harnesses, and an integrated communication system, intended exclusively for track days and Club Competizioni GT program participation.
- The 2027 Club Competizioni GT calendar spans seven events across Jerez, Spain; Misano Adriatico, Italy; Fuji, Japan; Indianapolis, United States; Paul Ricard, France; Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium; and Finali Mondiali Ferrari.
