JPNN.com, JAKARTA - The Corruption Crimes Court at the Central Jakarta District Court held the first hearing in a corruption case related to the additional Hajj quota for the 2023-2024 Indonesian Hajj pilgrimage, Tuesday (11/8).
Apart from Yaqut, the trial presented three other defendants, namely former Special Staff to the Minister of Religion Ishfah Abidal Aziz, Ismail Adham, and Asrul Aziz Taba.
The legal team for former Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas or Gus Yaqut asked the Central Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) to examine the alleged Hajj quota corruption case objectively.
