The Federal Cabinet decides on the income tax concept of the Ministry of Finance. From the left there is sharp criticism of it.
Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil wants to relieve small and medium-sized incomes by reforming the income tax, but there is strong criticism from the economy.
In doing so, the Federal Government intends to reduce the tax burden on households with small and medium-sized incomes as well as on families with children.The bill now has to be drafted by the Bundestag and the Federal Council.
Basic allowance, child benefit, top tax rate: The tax reform is intended to relieve families and low earners, which are the most important changes.
For months, the coalition in the federal government has been arguing about the form and design of a tax reform. In the cabinet, the draft of the finance minister is now due for adoption. Millions of households with smaller incomes are to benefit from this.
