Fazer to acquire Swedish sweets maker Aroma
Finnish food group Fazer has agreed to acquire Swedish confectionery producer Konfektyrfabriken Aroma AB in a move to expand its position in the Nordic sweets market and increase its presence in Sweden. Fazer said the deal forms part of its growth strategy and will strengthen its position in loose sweets, bagged products, and seasonal confectionery in Sweden. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals in Sweden.
