The district court of the Polish city of Gliwice canceled police supervision and property surety against a 60-year-old farmer who plowed fresh asphalt with a tractor but did not agree to the return of the arrested tractor.
The District Court in Gliwice has lifted police supervision and bail for a 60-year-old farmer from Ostropa, suspected of damaging the new surface of Rybacka Street. However, the court refused to allow the return of the impounded tractor, which, as the defense emphasizes, the man needs for farm work.
Farmer Józef Magiera (60), who drove his tractor onto a newly constructed road on Rybacka Street in Gliwice on August 7th and plowed a section of asphalt, will appear in court on Thursday, October 1st. His defense attorney, Adam Szewc, will demand the lifting of the preventive measures imposed on the farmer and the return of the impounded tractor. However, the prosecutor's office is unwilling to grant this request.
