Why We Chose Journalist Brooke Littlewood as Our Woman of the Year for 2026
Brooke Littlewood received $2,000 for professional development after creating Mates Coasters to raise mental health awareness in rural Australian communities.
To mark International Women's Day, ACM announced Farm Weekly journalist Brooke Littlewood as its 2026 Woman of the Year for mental health advocacy.
Creating Mates Coasters, Littlewood used beer coasters to promote mental-health awareness in rural pubs and clubs, ACM said.
With support from a local suicide prevention network, thousands of coasters were printed and distributed across South Australia, NSW, Victoria and WA's Wheatbelt in pubs, clubs, and hubs.
ACM's recognition program includes a $2000 award, with ACM's people & culture director stating, 'We are proud of the positive impact so many women across ACM are making.'
The awards also celebrated three other 2026 finalists, while Brooke Littlewood said the recognition belongs to a broader mental-health conversation and she felt honoured.
