When he was at Harvard University, Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook to score without his consent the "sexual attraction" of Harvard students. Yes, that was the start of social media as we know it. At its inception Facebook was only available to Harvard students and workers but when they saw the potential it had, many investors injected large money capital and in 2006 decided to expand the platform to the general population.
