The experts are clear: not all the advances, for example artificial intelligence (AI) that works completely autonomously and without human supervision, involve progress for humanity, nor do any of those systems have to be granted autonomy that was never given to any technology in history.
In Geneva, Volker Türk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, called on States and technological enterprises to better manage advanced artificial intelligence. The subject was not new, but, according to him, concrete decisions were still too late.
