77 Social Adult Day Care centers (SADCs) are currently operating in the bustling immigrant enclave of Flushing, Queens where even local elected officials who spoke to The Post expressed confusion as to what medical purpose they're supposed to provide. They've billed taxpayers nearly $1 billion since 2018 for meals and light entertainment.
Flushing boasts 64 adult day care centers within a one-mile radius, the highest concentration of such facilities in the nation. Many centers' service fees are covered by Medicaid.
