Ex-CIA boss was at Ukrainian station when Russian drone struck train
Ukraine’s rail operator said the drone was likely aimed at a diplomatic train carrying Boris Johnson and other foreign officials.

- Former CIA Director David Petraeus was on a separate train at the station during the attack, while Russia also struck a nearby gas station, briefly closing the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing.
- Condemning the "random and senseless attack," Johnson asked "what warped logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive," while British Defense Minister Wes Streeting called strikes near the border a "stark reminder" of the threat to European security.
- Russia has increased attacks near Yahodyn in recent weeks, a critical pathway for Western military aid, as Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha warned the strikes are "knocking" directly on NATO doors.
