Eviction notices up 41% in Q4 ahead of new rental rules
The number of eviction notices issued by landlords in the final three months of 2025 rose 41% when compared with the same period the previous year, the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) has found. The RTB received 5,207 eviction notices in Q4, and 62% of them were given because the landlord wanted to sell the property. For the full year, the number of notices rose 21% from 16,546 to 20,033.
