Occupational accidents are a scourge in the European Union (including Greece), according to new data from Eurostat.
Almost 2.8 million non-fatal accidents at work were recorded in the EU in 2024, while 3,367 workers lost their lives in the workplace, an average of nine people every day, according to Eurostat data. Greece recorded 5,271 non-fatal and 55 fatal accidents at work, with the country ranking 17th among member states in terms of the frequency of fatal accidents. Read here ⇛
