Europe’s Largest Celebration of Irish Culture Arrives in Belfast

- Organized annually by Comhaltas Ceolt since 1951, the world's largest celebration of Irish music comes to Northern Ireland for only the second time, following the 2013 festival in Londonderry.
- The programme includes more than 200 events and 180 traditional music competitions, centered on the flagship Gig Rig at City Hall offering free performances daily from 11am to 11pm.
- City officials pedestrianized the centre with road closures taking effect from Sunday, while Translink implemented additional late-night bus and rail services to manage congestion.
- Comhaltas Ceolt announced Belfast will host the festival again next year, establishing the city as a back-to-back host for the world's largest Irish music celebration.
