Last year, Europe recorded 3,041 cases of listeriosis, with a rate of 0.69 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 3% over 2023 and a record figure since 2007, as shown by the report on zoonoses prepared by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
