The statistical agency of the European Union, Eurostat, indicated that the GDP of all 21 euro area countries expanded by 0.6 per cent between April and June, compared with 0.4 per cent previously estimated. The euro area registered zero growth in the first three months of 2026. This upward revision was largely due to Ireland's growth of 10.2 per cent in the second quarter, well above the July estimate of 3.9 per cent.
