According to the legal amendment, a product can no longer be praised as environmentally friendly, climate-friendly, low-carbon or biodegradable without further investigation.
Because of the EU rules against greenwashing, non-compliant products threaten to land on the garbage. A German special rule is meant to prevent this. However, they are not enough, admonish industry representatives.
