The restrictive measures affect a total of 21 individuals and three entities, including Rosario Murillo, Vice President of Nicaragua and Ortega’s wife, and the closest circle to the couple including their children, relatives and advisers. The blacklist also extends to police commanders accused of repressing civil society and democratic opposition in Nicaragua through excessive use of force, arrests and torture.
