Tigray TV Station Hit by Drone, Rebels Advance in North Ethiopia

- On Sunday around 0600 GMT, a drone struck the headquarters of Tigrai TV in Mekelle, the Tigrayan capital. Photos showed the building's facade damaged and windows blown out, forcing the station with around 400 employees off-air.

- Authorities in Addis Ababa suspended Tigrai TV "indefinitely" on September 21, while phone and internet services face major disruptions. Facing an army of 500,000 troops and a significant drone arsenal, many in Tigray fear a return to the 2020–2022 blockade.
