Engie SA reported a 15% drop in first-quarter earnings after a warm winter cut gas demand in France, while nuclear power sales were squeezed by the shutdown of reactors in Belgium.
Despite a 11.6% drop in sales in the first quarter, Engie confirmed its outlook for 2026. As the Middle East war continued, the group ensured that it did not question its development plan in the region or a revision of its strategy.
The French energy Engie has recorded an operating profit (Ebit) of 3,522 million euros in the first trimester of 2026, which means to reduce by 14.7% the same data of the previous year.
