Portions of Enfield Square Mall closed due to weather-related damages

A portion of Enfield Square Mall has been closed until multiple repairs can be made after parts of the building sustained water damage during a particularly cold stretch of weather in Connecticut. A sign was posted on a number of the mall’s doors that read, “Danger, unsafe building. Enfield Square Mall closed with ‘unsafe building' sign posted to door

The Enfield Square Mall is closed on Wednesday evening, according to a sign posted on a couple of the building’s doors. The sign reads “Danger, unsafe building. This building is unsafe, and its use or occupancy has been prohibited.”  However, the mall had lights on inside. It’s unclear how long it will be closed for. NBC Connecticut has reached out to the mall’s owners and the Enfield town manager for additional details.
