The Spanish Confederation of Fisheries (Cepesca) and the European fisheries association (Europeche) have asked the European Commission this Monday for a "urgent" reform of the Western Mediterranean regulation and has warned that the sector cannot face further cuts in fishing days, after they regret that the activity has been reduced by 44% and employment by 50% since the entry into force of the rule in 2019.
